While Labor Day (September 7, 2020) brings the traditional end of summer, it does not bring an end to boating opportunities.  Many consider September and October two of the best months for boating and fishing on the Gulf Coast.  So, we hope to see you during the Fall boating season.

This year, Labor Day Weekend will be from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7.  We hope you are able to get on the water with the family over that weekend.  Because it is a busy period at Holiday Harbor, we ask that dry storage customers:

  1. Call at least 2 hours before you want your boat placed in the water.

  1. Recognize that there is not enough dock space at the Marina for all launched boats to stay in the water during the holiday period.  Therefore, boats returned before closing will be returned to dry storage daily and boats returned after closing will be returned to dry storage early the next morning.

  1. Know that all wet slips are rented on a quarterly or annual basis.  Therefore, do not dock in wet slips.  If you return after closing and the launch area is full, please use the fuel dock or the “T” dock used for docking at Sunset Grille.  We will move your boat early the next morning.  If you leave your boat out overnight and do not wish it returned to dry storage because you plan to use it the next day, please leave a message on the message board next to the office door.  We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Following these guidelines will help assure everyone has an enjoyable boating experience.

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council has determined that the 2020 annual target for the recreational harvesting of grey trigger fish has not been met.  As a consequence, on August 28 it announced that the season for grey trigger fish will reopen for fishing in Florida federal waters on September 1 and close at midnight on October 25, 2020.

Information regarding the reopening can be found at:   https://gulfcouncil.org/press/2020/recreational-harvest-of-gray-triggerfish-in-federal-waters-of-the-gulf-of-mexico-will-reopen-september-1-2020-and-close-on-october-26-2020/

The reopening provides a great opportunity for fishing when the weather is cooler and the waters are less crowded.  We hope you will be able to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

The 2020 Blue Angles Homecoming show, previously scheduled for October 16 -17, 2020 has been CANCELLED.

The show was cancelled on August 11 over concerns about COVID-19.  The cancellation release stated:  "This decision was made after considering all possible options, but was fundamentally a decision to ensure the health and safety of our personnel and the greater community."

The 2021 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show is currently scheduled for Nov. 5 and 6, 2021. It will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Blue Angels.

Sunset Grille is open for dine-in business, as well as take-out.  We ask that customers maintain social distancing and take advantage of hand sanitizers conveniently located throughout the Grille.

Arrived mid December so it was very open. They had us dock at the restaurant dock for the night. Restaurant is basic but the food and service was good. New docks.
