Our JULY NEWSLETTER

HOLIDAY HARBOR MARINA

July 4 Planning

This year the 4th of July falls on Sunday and the Blue Angels at the Beach will be the following Wednesday through Saturday. Therefore, the 10-day period July 1 through July 10 will be one of the busiest times of the year at Holiday Harbor.  In order to help assure everyone has an enjoyable boating experience, we ask that dry storage customers:

  1. Call at least 2 hours before you want your boat placed in the water.
  2. Recognize that there is not enough dock space at the marina for all launched boats to stay in the water over the holiday. Therefore, boats returned before closing will be returned to dry storage daily and boats returned after closing will be returned to dry storage early the next morning.
  3. Know that all wet slips are rented. Therefore, do not dock in wet slips, unless specifically advised to do so.  If you return after closing and the launch area is full, please use the fuel dock or the “T” dock used for docking at Sunset Grille.  We will move your boat early the next morning.
  4. Keep the number of vehicles parking at the Marina to a minimum.

We appreciate customers’ help in making the holiday week a great time for all.

July 4 Fireworks At Holiday Harbor/Sunset Grille

In appreciation of its loyal customers and the local community, the Marina and Grille have made a contribution to support a fireworks display on July 4.  The event will take place over the water in front of Sunset Grille using the second little island as the launching pad.  The show will begin just after sunset on Sunday.  (According to the presenters, in case of a weather postponement the display will be rescheduled for the following weekend.)

A large crowd is expected at Holiday Harbor/Sunset Grille, so customers who receive this Newsletter are encourage to arrive early.  You will be able to see the show by boat, as well as from the grounds of the Marina/Grille.

July 7 – 10 Blue Angels At The Beach

The annual Blue Angels’ weekend show at Pensacola Beach is scheduled for July 7 thru 10, 2021.  The basic schedule available June 1, 2021 consists of:

July 7  Wednesday – Circle Fly-In and Arrival of Show Participants

July 8  Thursday – Blue Angels Dress Rehearsal Show

July 9  Friday  --  Blue Angels Full Dress Rehearsal and Civilian Acts

July 10  Saturday  --  Blue Angels Air Show and Civilian Acts

Make plans now to attend some or all of these “don’t miss” events.

Like the 4th of July week, the four days of the Blues at the Beach will be a very busy one at the marina.  Therefore, we ask that storage customers follow the same launching and docking items addressed above during this weekend.  We appreciate your help.

Parking Enforcement Notice

Because many residential docks damaged by Hurricane Sally have not been rebuilt,  many individuals who are not storage/wet slip customers or are not current Grille customers have been using the Marina docks for boarding/deboarding their boats.  To ensure that our storage/wet slip customers, Freedom Boat Club users, and patrons of Sunset Grille are able to park, we are enforcing parking restrictions.

PARKING WILL BE RESTRICTED TO:

  • STORAGE/WET SLIP CUSTOMERS AND GUESTS
  • FREEDOM BOAT CLUB MEMBERS WITH SCHEDULED BOAT USAGE
  • PATRONS OF SUNSET GRILLE ONLY WHILE DINING AT THE GRILLE

OTHER VEHICLES ARE SUBJECT TO BEING TOWED WITHOUT WARNING!

If you are a Marina, Boat Club, or Grille customer, you can help by minimizing the number of vehicles to be parked in the Marina/Grille parking lots.  You also may consider having you and your guests dropped off at the Marina.

You may encounter a Parking Lot Attendant who will confirm your parking status.  Please do not be offended.  We regret this enforcement is necessary; our only purpose is to help ensure our customers are able to park and enjoy their boating or dining experience.

Please contact the Marina office (850-492-0555) if you have special circumstances.
