HOLIDAY HARBOR MARINA

4th of July Planning

This year the 4th of July falls on Thursday.  The 10 day period June 28 through July 7 will be one of the busiest times of the season at Holiday Harbor.  In order to help assure everyone has an enjoyable boating experience, we ask that dry storage customers:

  • Call at least 2 hours before you want your boat placed in the water.
  • Recognize that there is not enough dock space at the marina for all launched boats to stay in the water for the week. Therefore, boats returned before closing will be returned to dry storage daily and boats returned after closing will be returned to dry storage early the next morning.
  • Know that all wet slips are rented. Therefore, do not dock in wet slips.  If you return after closing and the launch area is full, please use the fuel dock or the “T” dock used for docking at Sunset Grille.  We will move your boat early the next morning.

We appreciate customers’ help in making the holiday week a great time for all.

Blue Angels At The Beach

The annual Blue Angels events at Pensacola Beach will be July 10 through 13.  Make plans now to attend some or all of these “don’t miss” events.  This is an incredible experience, best seen from your boat!

July 10  -- Breakfast with the Blues  -- Blue Angels will be overhead about 8:00 a.m.

July 11 --  Practice flight demonstration with the Blue Angels at 2:00 p.m.

July 12 –  Full dress rehearsal for Saturday Show

  • Civilian Acts at noon
  • Blue Angels fly at 2:00 p.m.

July 13 -- Beach Air Show

  • Show starts at noon
  • Blue Angels fly at 2:00 p.m.

Like the 4th of July week, the weekend of the Blues at the Beach will be a very busy one at the marina.  Therefore, we ask that storage customers follow the same launching and docking items

addressed above during this weekend.  We appreciate you help.

Red Snapper Season Continues

The 2019 recreational season for red snapper in both Florida state and federal waters will be open through July 12, closing July 13.  This recreational season will include those fishing for red snapper from private recreational vessels.

Complete information for Florida waters, including open dates, gear requirements, size requirements, harvest limits and other requirements, can be found at:

http://myfwc.com/fishing/saltwater/recreational/snappers/

It is your responsibility to know and adhere to the regulations of the jurisdiction in which you fish and, if different, through which you transit.

  • Bait and Tackle

Both our South Store and North Store (next to Sunset Grille) have frozen cigar minnows, squid and shrimp available.  In addition, the South Store carries various leaders, weights and hooks for snapper fishing.  Come by for the best in bait and tackle for your fishing needs.

Account Customer Red Snapper Tournament

The Holiday Harbor Marina “Show Us Your Sow” red snapper tournament exclusively for  account customers continues through July 12, the end of the recreational red snapper season for Florida.  Registration is $50 per boat, which includes a tournament t-shirt and other gimme items.  The top three single red snappers weighing the most caught during the period will split all registration fees 50%, 30% and 20%, and receive other substantial prizes provided by the marina (Costa sunglasses or fishing gear).  In addition, winners of the Wildcard Weight and SSG Reservation for Two categories will receive Sunset Grille gift certificates and other prizes.
