HOLIDAY HARBOR MARINA
MARINA HOURS CHANGE
An annual change in hours for the marina will occur October 1 and November 1. The new hours will be:
Effective: Monday, September 30, 2019 (Shoulder Season):
Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday – Sunday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Effective: Friday, November 1, 2019 (Off-Season)
Monday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
PAVING OF PARKING AREAS
Good news! After years of “negotiating”, we have received permission to pave our parking lots, both at the Marina and Sunset Grille. Paving of our parking area will provide a number of benefits, including improved parking, elimination of dust during dry spells and ponding during heavy rains, and provide a cleaner run-off following rains.
The plans and specifications for the paving are complete and have been submitted to three companies for bids. The work will take place during the off-season, probably November and December, and will occur in sections so that access and parking is disrupted as little as possible
We will keep you posted as more specific details of the work and schedule are known.
BLUE ANGELS’ HOMECOMING SHOW
Since much of the Blue Angels Beach Show was cancelled due to weather, you may want to plan now for their Homecoming Show scheduled for November 8-9, 2019, with a fantastic night show on Friday. It’s not too early to plan for that weekend.
MARINA APARTMENT DISCOUNT
The Marina apartment is offered at a discount rate from October 1st until March 31st. Contact the Marina office for information, rates and availability. See out website, www.myholidayharbor.com, for photos or you can get a tour from the marina staff.
We offer two boat care services that may be of interest during the off-season:
- Detailing – The off-season is a great time to get your boat looking like new. Our in-house detailing service can provide anything from a simple wash to complete detailing, including compounding, waxing, buffing and metal polishing.
- Run and Wash Service – If your boat will be sitting over the off-season, we offer a service that includes pulling the boat down from storage on a monthly basis, putting it in the water, starting and letting it run to get to up to temperature, pulling it out of the water and giving it a wash inside and outside before returning it to storage. This helps with maintaining batteries and keeps the engine from sitting all winter long, as well as maintaining the appearance of your boat.
If you are interested in either of these services, please contact the marina at 850-492-0555.
FOOTBALL IS BACK!
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? The college and professional football seasons have “kicked off”. Sunset Grille has 5 big-screen TVs showing all of your favorite games, both college and NFL. You can watch all of your teams compete while enjoying a delicious meal and drink.
ANNUAL DOG WALK/RUN
The 5th annual Sunset Grille Dog Walk/Run will be held November 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Grille. Proceeds from the Dog Walk benefit the Junior Humane Society and the Hotel for Dogs and Cats.
You can register in person at Sunset Grille or on-line at Active.com. Registration before November 1 is $20; after November 1 it is $25. The first 25 dog owners to register will receive a T-shirt and a dog bandana.
Plan now for you and your pooch to participate in this fun doggie get-together.
GRILLE AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS
Between October 1 and February 29, Sunset Grille is available to host small group and small special events. If you are interested in making a reservation, please contact the Grille at 850-492-1063 or talk to one of the managers on-site.
