FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

HOLIDAY HARBOR MARINA

Everyone at Holiday Harbor Marina hopes that 2021- has started off great for you and that the rest of the year is filled with sunshine and fair seas.  We look forward to the 2021 boating season and seeing all of our customers enjoying time on the water.

MARINA RECOVERY UPDATE

Recovery at the marina continues.  Work on the South Store and office is completed and they are fully operational.   Come in and see the new layout, including our expanded Costa Del Mar selection of glasses and accessories.

The West-side docks that lead from the Marina pass the “T” dock up to Sunset Grille and the North Store are complete.  Power pedestal will be installed in the next couple of weeks along those docks for the slips there, and cleats and piling guards will be installed in the next month.  The docks will be open for the 11 slips on the West side of the marina, but the docks North of the floating dock (including the “T” dock and the docks at Sunset Grille) will not be open until work at Sunset Grille is completed.  That area is still an active construction zone and to ensure everyone’s safety will remain closed until Sunset Grille and the associated parking area are open (expected around March 1).

We thank everyone for their patience during the repairs from Hurricane Sally and look forward to warmer days on the water.

SEVERED RELATIONSHIP WITH BAY MARINE

Effective immediately, Holiday Harbor Marina has ended its association with Bay Marine, the now former on-site independent marine service provider.  As a consequence, we no longer recommend Bay Marine as a service provider.  We believe this action and position are in the best interest of the Marina and its customers.

We are currently negotiating with another potential service provider and hope to have a new  independent service provider on-site by early March.

We regret this transition and any inconvenience it may cause you.

ANNUAL MARDI GRAS BOAT PARADE

The Pirates of Lost Treasure annual Mardi Gras Boat Parade has been cancelled for 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.

SUNSET GRILLE

RENOVATION CONTINUES

Sunset Grille is still closed while renovations are being completed.  Rapid progress has taken  place, but required County inspections at each step in the process is still affecting completion.

 Among the changes will be:

  • New entry ways from both the parking lot and the water.
  • A new space for the Gift Shop.
  • Additional water-side seating.
  • New drop-down curtains to enclose the open-air dining area during rainy or chilly weather.
  • New flooring in the open-air dining area to help enclose the area and to provide a uniform surface for tables/chairs.
  • An enlarged and better designed kitchen to improve timely service.

We believe these changes will improve your experience at Sunset Grille and hope to reopen the first week in March.  We look forward to seeing and serving you.  Until then, stay safe.

Arrived mid December so it was very open. They had us dock at the restaurant dock for the night. Restaurant is basic but the food and service was good. New docks.
